Established in 1991, the hospital is formerly known as “Huaibei Psychiatric Hospital”. It became the only secondary mental disease hospital of Huaibei.

The hospital integrates medical treatment, teaching, research and prevention. The psychiatric department has been awarded the fourth cycle specialty in Huaibei (2016-2020) .  It is the quality control center of psychiatry in Huaibei. It is also the president of the Huaibei Mental Health Association.
